The Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Historical Society (PLERRHS) established the Company Store to provide both society members and non-members access to P&LE related merchandise. Many of the products offered by the Company Store are available at a discounted price to society members.

The Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Historical Society proudly announces the second "Project Car" for model railroaders.  Based on the Union Pacific Railroad CA-4 cabooses sold to P&LE subsidiaries in 1969 (seven to the Montour Railroad, two to the Youngstown & Southern Railroad and two to the Pittsburgh, Chartiers & Youghiogheny Railroad), three were eventually bought back by the P&LE between 1979 and 1981..

        

This project utilizes Intermountain Railway's CA-3 way car with appropriate paint and graphics. P&LE and Montour cars will come Ready-To-Roll. A painted/unlettered version will include decals for the Y&S, PC&Y, and Montour railroads (for those wishing additional car numbers). Both HO and N scale versions will be available (Quantities are limited).

Delivery is expected in May, 2012 and orders are being accepted now.
Road names and numbers available: P&LE 530, P&LE 533, Montour 36 and undecorated.

The Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Historical Society proudly announces the first "Project Car" for model railroaders.  Based on the 50' boxcars acquired by the P&LE from 1961 to 1964, these represent cars that had heavy overhauls and repainting completed at McKees Rocks after the Penn Central merger.

This project utilizes Accurail's H.O. Scale 5700 series 50' Welded-Side Single Door Boxcar with appropriate Penn Central "Deep Water Green" paint and graphics. Kits include Accurail 100-Ton Roller-Bearing Trucks and Accu-Mate Couplers.
Three different road numbers are available: #7124, Built 1-61; #7387, Built 9-63; and #7458, Built 10-63.

Delivery is expected in August, 2011 and orders are being accepted now.
